FAQs

  1. What are the Department of Administration's APRA policies and procedures? A. The Department's APRA regulations are available at Department of Administration APRA Regulations.
  2. How long does it take to receive records? A. The amount of time depends on the request. The Department is required to respond within ten (10) business days from the receipt of the request, but may also invoke up to an additional twenty (20) business day extension for good cause (i.e. broad or voluminous requests). While APRA provides deadlines, the Department will make every attempt to respond as soon as possible.
  3. Is there any cost for submitting a records request? A. While there is no cost for submission, there may be a cost of up to $15 per hour, with the first hour free, for search and retrieval time necessary to complete the request. The Department will inform you of any applicable costs which may apply. The Department also suggests to provide as much detailed information and attempt to narrow your requests as much as possible to target the specific records you are looking for. Narrowing the request to specific divisions, people, dates, key words, etc. will save search and retrieval time.
